Is Mental Health Promotion and Staff Wellness an Urgent Priority in Your Health Care System or Workplace?
How do you know if someone in your company or organization is at risk for suicide or struggling with mental health and/or substance abuse issues? Where do you refer them? Does the care they receive result in improved health, returning to work, family, and an enjoyable life? As healthcare and industry leaders, do you know how many people under your care die by suicide or have trauma histories that affect their work? Can you do better? Is this an urgent priority for you?
A comprehensive blueprint for a healthy workplace includes access to quality mental health services and resources, leadership committed to safety for all staff, life skills and social network promotion, crisis management, and education. Successful organizations and leaders assess their strengths and weaknesses and identify current gaps to continuously address and improve mental health promotion resulting in increased productivity, profitability, and staff retention. The Education Development Center (EDC) is celebrating 60 years of serving as a global leading nonprofit with expertise in integrating evidence-based injury, suicide, trauma, and violence prevention into public health, healthcare systems, and communities. Join leaders from EDC in a lively discussion about how to adopt and sustain system-wide culture change in your workplace or health care system to improve mental health and wellness for all patients and staff. Please join us for one or all of our dynamic conversations. Each conversation will begin with a 20-30 minute presentation at the top of the hour followed by a discussion and opportunity to hear from your peers.
