Chief Executive Officer

Head and Neck Cancer Alliance

Holly Boykin is the Chief Executive Officer of the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance (HNCA), a global, non-profit health organization focused on improving the health outcomes of patients via prevention programs, patient resources, clinical education, treatment, research and advocacy. As the organization’s ambassador, she engages and educates various constituencies about oral, head and neck cancer.

Holly has more than 25 years of experience in finance, health care and non-profit management, serving in various capacities. At one point in her career, Holly performed pharmaco-economic analyses in a hospital setting. If a slate of pharmaceuticals were deemed to have the same efficacy, management often took into consideration the fiscal impact of pharmaceuticals on the bottom line.

As a former elected official, Holly has hands-on experience in balancing the needs of various interests within a specific budget and mastered the legislative and negotiating process. Under Holly’s leadership, her community was one of the few in Massachusetts to fully fund all municipal programs and education for five consecutive years. Her success was based on building crucial relationships, identifying funding and navigating legislation that benefitted the community.

Holly also has a son, Eric, who was born with undiagnosed congenital heart defects. To raise awareness, she allowed the media into Eric’s first open heart surgery – you can view it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjXarBU5tZo.

Holly has a Master’s degree from Tufts University and most recently was a joint author on an Op-Ed piece in the Miami Herald.
