Linda Avey is co-founder and CEO of Precise.ly, Inc., providing individuals a deep dive into their health data. She was the founding independent board member at Rock Health, the San Francisco-based health tech seed fund, is a board director at Perlara, PBC, and is on the Stanford School of Medicine Board of Fellows. She was selected in 2014 as one of Fast Company’s 100 most creative people in business.

In 2006 Ms. Avey co-founded 23andMe, the leading personal genetics company now hosting the world’s largest DNA repository, with over 3 million individuals actively powering genetic discoveries. In 2008, TIME magazine named 23andMe Invention of the Year and World Economic Forum selected the company for its Tech Pioneer award. She has appeared on Charlie Rose, NBC’s Today Show, the Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC’s Nightline and in numerous print articles.

Prior to 23andMe, Ms. Avey worked at Affymetrix and Perlegen Sciences, focusing on translational research collaborations with academic and pharmaceutical partners. She also worked at Spotfire helping researchers maximize value from scientific data through visualization tools, and at Applied Biosystems during the human genome project. Avey graduated from Augustana University with a BA in biology.
