Mary Langowski is a nationally known healthcare executive with a successful track record leveraging market and public sector expertise to grow top-line revenue, drive new market opportunities and build successful organizations and new business models. She is the CEO of Rising Tide, LLC, a healthcare consultancy working with the most innovative companies leading change in the healthcare marketplace.
As EVP/Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at CVS Health, Langowski helped facilitate the organization’s evolution to a healthcare company, managed its growth strategy and led the foundational work for the Aetna acquisition. She built a disciplined long-term playbook for significant commercial revenue growth to position CVS for the future, identified $1b in potential growth from investments and acquisitions, was a key leader on $15b in strategic acquisitions. She developed programs and partnerships to enhance b2b offerings, including in telehealth and diabetes. She built the strategy and corporate development divisions and oversaw government affairs operations. She currently works with CVS Health on execution of the CVS/Aetna acquisition.
Langowski spent a decade building and running successful multi-million dollar consulting businesses working with C-suites of start-ups, Fortune 500 organizations and investors in the health and food sectors on their most critical business issues. She quarterbacked successful high stakes domestic and global initiatives for companies, including leading food security initiatives in Africa, creating new Medicare and Medicaid payment models that enable health care innovation and value-based payment, and leading growth and positioning initiatives with blue chip companies.
Langowski has served in both state and federal government in senior positions.
She serves on the boards of Care Advantage, BioMatrix Specialty Pharmacy, Solera Health and Pharos Innovations, was a member of the Aspen Institute Global Food Security Strategy Group, and has authored numerous thought leadership pieces on aspects of health care reform, food security and global development. In 2011, she was named one of Washingtonian Magazine’s 40 Under 40 and “the best in the business” by former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle.
Langowski holds B.A. and M.P.A degrees from Drake University and a J.D. With Honors from the University of Iowa College of Law.
