Rachel Winokur is currently the Chief Business Officer of Bright Health, where she leads the company’s expansion into new markets, as well as its business development activities.  Bright Health is an insurance company that develops exclusive network health plans in partnership with leading health systems.  The company offers a best-in-class, cobranded health plan designed entirely around the system’s network and delivers a smarter, more connected healthcare experience to its members.

Previously, Rachel was a senior executive at Aetna, where she helped found and lead Healthagen, Aetna’s payer-neutral population health management business.  Rachel also had responsibility for the development and operations of Healthagen’s new businesses, as well as mergers and acquisitions and strategy.  Rachel joined Aetna from the Carlyle Group, where she invested in healthcare companies for Carlyle’s US Growth Equity Fund.  Prior to that role, she led business development and was a corporate officer of Datascope, a publicly-traded medical devices company that was acquired by Mindray and Gettinge.  Rachel also spent several years in various operations and business development roles within Bertelsmann, a global media company, both in the US and in Europe.  She began her career at Goldman Sachs in the mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets departments.

Rachel currently sits on the boards of HealthVerity, HealthReveal, and Maven. She is also an Advisor to Greycroft Partners and AiCure.  She received an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a BSE with honors in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Duke University.

Rachel currently resides in New York City with her husband and three young children.
